Most of these shows take relatable existences and tweak them until they become their idolized selves. Slice of life anime are synonymous with lighthearted, carefree stories that offer viewers much-needed escapes from their day-to-day struggles. Still, none of these series necessarily scream "slice of life," or at least not as loudly as some other shows. Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout The Animation might also be a relaxing sit, presuming it matches the game's tone. The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses and My Tiny Senpai should be safe picks, although they are primarily romantic comedies. Similar to its predecessor, the Summer 2023 anime season is somewhat lacking in obvious slice of life shows. Skip and Loafer proved to be more of a drama than a pure slice of life, but it is still an easy recommendation for fans of the latter.
